What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Mastercard and Visa debit cards. We also accept Downtown Long Beach Gift Cards and Green Menu Dining Cards. Unfortunately, we do not take American Express or Discover at this time.
Do you take reservations?
Yes! Please know that we have a relatively small dining area, so parties of more than about 12 may have difficulty eating in the same immediate area. Nevertheless, we will do our best to accommodate you and your group.
Where can I park?
In addition to street parking, Steamed customers may also use the free above-ground parking structure on Olive across the street from Ace Hardware store during our regular business hours.
Why do you steam everything?
We believe that steaming food is one of the healthiest ways to prepare a hot meal! Steaming is gentle, fast, and keeps the nutrition in while letting the flavors out.
Where do you get your ingredients?
We do our best to source all our food from local, family-owned farms and small business. Not only does this practice support the local economy, but we believe it protects the quality of our food and the environment.
Does your dairy contain animal rennet?
No. Our cheese and sour cream are cruelty-free.
Do you use sustainable business practices?
We are constantly looking for ways to become more sustainable. Here are a few of the things we already do:
-We compost and recycle as much of our waste as possible.
-All our furnishings, decor and dining utensils are from local yard sales and thrift stores.
-We use eco-friendly take-out containers. Feel free to bring your own bags and mugs for pickup orders!
-Bicycling is highly encouraged. (15% off for bike-riding customers on Saturdays!)
-We take your order on reusable laminated forms with dry-erase markers.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes! Please ask a staff member for the password.
Do you allow smoking on your patio?
Our patio is 100% smoke free and a member of the Fresh Air Dining LB Program. We believe all our customers deserve a healthy experience at Steamed and second-hand smoke just doesn't jive with the theme.
Do you allow dogs on your patio?
Yes! We have water bowls at the ready.
